Elise's Necklaces = Head-eating Crack
Jan. 27th, 2005 09:45 pmSteps (approximate) before treadmill: 6,460
Crap-outs: 6
Steps on treadmill: 5124
Steps total: 11,584
Recieved my Digiwalk 200 in the mail, not a moment too soon. I love it. LOVE it, already. It's accurate, see.
And I can wear it without it resetting itself all the time. And I can *trust* it if it says something.
Elise's necklaces are eating my head. Chewing it up, processing grey matter for stories. Three epiphanies of the migraine-causing kind today, one on the cancer messiah story, one on "After the Dragon", one on a story about the frog and the golden ball, told with alien ambassadors and xenosociologists.
650 mg of aspirin later, my head hurt less and I was scribbling furiously in my brains, a paper journal-type thing that mostly keeps lecture notes, pager numbers and the like.
Roo was subdued this evening. Sat on the couch watching videos from 7 until 8, and then went right to bed, only to pop his head up at 9 with an, "I nee-nee-need diaper change, Mommy. I *poopy*."
Fortunately, Mike rescued me.
Official weigh-in for a start weight will be on Monday, and every Monday, as there's an accurate scale in my clinic (have y'all noticed that bathroom scales just aren't as cruel as the doctor's scale, or is it just me?).
I will be trying for 10,000 steps a day. If after 2 months I have no weight loss, we will up the goal.
Right now, I don't think I could walk any further without my legs divorcing me and taking the liver with them.
