Anecdote. Viremia. Snafu.
Mar. 8th, 2005 06:07 pmMike, my husband-- the picky reader, the engineer-- says to my sister, "You really have to read this."
He picks up my copy of HARD CONTACT (a Star Wars media tie-in) and hands it to Kim. And says, "It was really. Really. Good."
I squawk a protest. "Don't take that too far. I am not giving that away to anyone!"
Kim rolls her eyes. "I live less than a block away. I'd give it *back*."
"That's too far," I tell her, and replace the book on the shelf with WILD SWANS and TAM LIN and TOOTH AND CLAW and HAMMERED and SUNSHINE and GATE OF IVORY and ANVIL OF THE SUN and other beloved books that are currently on my comfort shelf. "Besides, you can buy your own damn copy. Support the author."
In other news, I am entirely viremic, with a cold that just won't let go of my sinuses.
Hence, no steps.
I do not have my schedule for the four week block starting *this Thursday*.
This, to me, constitutes a rather large snafu.
