Fame. School. Microcephaly. Lasts.
Aug. 1st, 2005 10:12 pmI'm sitting up waiting for the news story that my friend Doctor Beth is in.
Instead, they're airing the bit about the woman who punched a bear in the nose three times.
I know they *will* air it (stupid Kare 11 news), because I saw the half-second teaser clip before the news really started.
Today at the day care center went well; they called me twice to let me know he was doing well.
I think I'm more traumatized than Robin about this whole 'new school' thing. But he fits right in, and he even requested to wear 'big boy pants' to school tomorrow, so thank goodness for a mostly potty-trained class.
And we get day sheets again, that tell us how the boy is doing. He *talks*, at this daycare, instead of being selectively mute because the older kids scare him. Amazing!
Today was a 'too hot to go outside' day, so we stayed in and on the porch and mostly did stuff like play with Play-Doh once home from school.
And I finished my reading on patients for clinic, and got the bones of a presentation on Amish Lethal Microcephaly done.
I'm passing all these milestones on the way out of residency: last presentation, last back-up call (on Wednesday), last...
Ah, THERE is the extra feature I was waiting for.
Excuse me.
