Transitions (Again).

Sometimes I wonder if I've got inattentive ADHD-- I seem to be unable to settle down and easily bored, and just as easily discontented.

Related to that fact is this:

I'm transferring clinics; rather than a 26 mile commute, I will have a 1.5 mile commute. The new clinic is on University Avenue; I can bike there. I will start in January, and I will NOT be biking there in the winter.

It's been a long process, and a hard choice; I love many of my patients here very deeply and the people I work with, even more so.

But if you know someone in Minneapolis who's looking for a pediatrician... *grin*

Well, you're the doctor, so if you say it's ADHD...

But with the specs you described? Sounds like a very practical and sensible choice to me, and a real stress-reducer in commute time alone.

If I ever come home I will enthusiastically send my kids to you.:)

26 mile commute is difficult and draining in the long term - particularly if you can't easily take advantage of public transit or other things to make it easier.

Congrats on the new clinic and I wish you an easy transition!

Congratulations on the new and shorter commute! That should make your life so much easier... it's like having a 25-hour day all of a sudden.
