SO happy to be doing peds again.
Jul. 29th, 2004 09:54 pmAnd working with students. I *miss* working with students in the most terrible way possible.
Except I don't miss it any more; I have a very good, if very quirky, team. We get along well, and the sole male on the team is doing all right keeping up with our estrogen-and-must-have-chocolate fits.
I've even managed to match admissions to interests-- at least partly. Marina, the one who wants to do radiology, gets to admit the kid with a big gallstone who needs ERCP. Sarah, the one who's going into psych, got the bulemic kiddo. And Marnie, the one who is 'interested in everything', gets to watch the orthopod reduce a supracondylar fracture of the arm.
I'm suddenly feeling like I'm worth something agian, like I know something, like I can contribute. And even if it IS getting to be past my bedtime, this is fabulous, and I remember why it is I love peds.
