Schedule, Fees, Kill Me Now
Oct. 7th, 2004 08:49 pmAnd a similie is not a lie, unless it is a bad similie.
I'm reading The curious incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, and enjoying it mightily.
What I'm not enjoying is the pile of papwerwork for the MN board of medical practice. They want $394 off the bat, and it'll cost me another $100 to get the transcripts they want.
*bangs head on desk* To get money, I have to HAVE money to do this, but I can't get money unless i moonlight but I need my license to moonlight...
I hate this.
Kim dragged me to the gym yesterday and I did a half hour of hard exercise and another half hour on the ball and ugh, I am sore.
On the plus side, I took a shower last night and found that I didn't wake up smelly, so this may work out-- the exercising at night and showering before bed thing, I mean.
I just switched services at FUMC again, and am on 5A, the Children's Center, doing 'gen peds and ID', or general pediatrics and infectious disease.
The hours are long.
Very long.
How long, you ask? Well, I'm *so* glad you ask. Because you see, the fewer patients we have, the longer we freakin' round, and despite having a grand total of two patients in the morning, and one new one in the evening, I still did not get home until 6 pm, and I got to work at 6 am.
Moan moan moan.
I am waiting for a friend to get back to me with comments on the Not a Novel before I start to write again. In the meantime I have been playing with wire and beads.
I suppose I should get to it and finish this application for a license to practice medicine.
(Medicine is so funny; it's one of the few areas where you sign a legally binding contract of employment, AND you require a license to practice your job. Sort of like Bond. Except hopefully, in reverse...)
