I've been doing a LOT of that kind of stitching lately.

Especially on ankles and faces.

Regarding ankles:  Please consider getting the kind of bike pedal that *doesn't* have sharp metal teeth on it?  Last night alone there were four ankle injury/bike accidents that required multiple stitches for gaping wounds.

Regarding faces:  if you have a toddler, be aware that there's nothing you *can* do except _be_ aware.

*sigh*

Pen.

My mother gave me the fountain pen that her father used to keep the accounts for the shoe store he owned in China, before the Red Army came through.

"He'd like you to use it," she said.

"I'd like to use it," I told her.

But I think the bladder might leak.  I can't tell; I don't own any pens of the fountainy persuasion and thus I own no ink.

What should I do, aficionados, to get this pen rehabilitated?
