LJUsers. Tea. Beads. Good.
Aug. 7th, 2005 05:57 pmI'm never sure how much to note, when it comes to meeting people on my friendslist, whether that's for the first time, or second time, or umpteenth time.
I'm not so very good with adding LJ-tags, either, and can barely do a user tag, which means when I refer to
dlandon, I mean Dena. And Mrissa is, well,
mrissa, and Catie and Michael and Sherry and Pamela and so forth get airtime without linkage.
I'll try to do better about that.
In related news, the lovely Karen (oops--
allchthon) came over for dinner last night. I may have mentioned that in a previous post, but I wanted to iterate again how nice it is to have friends over who don't mind toddlers.
A large part of my home life, you see, is welded to my toddler.
(Tangential: Roo grabs at his crotch and then then frowns. Looks down at his hand and says in an accusatory tone, "I'm wearing BIG BOY Nunderwear." Guess that wasn't the tactile sensation he was expecting.)
I met
pegkerr for High Tea at Cafe Latte today; this is the second day in a row that I've been introduced to Dangerous Food Retail in the Cities. That was an amazing tea for a low low price!
And even though it's nice to have friends who accept the toddler, it was equally nice in a different way to spend time talking to an adult, without any toddlers present. Conversation! Adult conversation!! And fun time spent playing with beads.
AND Robin slept the whole time I was gone, so Mike got a break, too.
In short, it was good.
